Azumi - fasting

A she lo uki iramadan - We have entered the month of Ramadan

Amo l'azumi o gbasẹ - fasting started today

Ẹlẹ italatin (igbesẹ) nabi ẹlẹ uye ali itiili le la iramadan - There are thirty or twenty nine days in Ramadan.

Uki no khua l'iramadan o kia - Ramadan is a great month

Uki itofa ali irabọ lo kia - It is a month of mercy and forgiveness

Uki isabiri lo kia - it is a month of patience

Uki ituba lo kia - it is a month of repentance

Uki ichimama Ishinẹgba lo kia - it is a month of closeness to God

Ishinẹgba lọ ki Ọnọma - God is the creator

Ishinẹgba lọ ki Ọnọkhẹ - God is the protector

Ishinẹgba lọ ki Ọgẹna agbọ- God is the Lord of people

Ishinẹgba lọ ki Ogie agbọ - God ís the king of people

U mhu azumi? - did you fast?

U laa mhu azumi? - will you fast?

Azumi o ze mẹ egbe - The fasting is hard on me

Okiamẹ o aa gbe mẹ - Í am thirsty

Okiami o aa gbe mẹ - Í am hungry

U she fa azumi? - Have you broke fast?

Elu rọ fa? What did you break with?

Idẹbinu lẹ mi rọ fa - Í broke with dates

Vha mo oni azumi - well-done for fasting

Ishinẹgba Ọ soku olema ma (eyẹ) - May God hear our prayers

A she tsana - They have prayed
